A few reads

Been a while since I’ve cited other reads, so:

  • Kyla Scanlon has been on a roll lately. Her recent piece on dialectical collapse and the ascendancy of fascism is particularly good.
  • Every interaction design concept, updated periodically.
  • Some lessons from Kimmerer. I’ve been thinking about Robin Wall Kimmerer’s work as I pick every serviceberry bush clean in a five mile radius from where I’m currently sitting. I got 17lb of them and made jam for all of my friends.
  • The best post on Alcaraz-Sinner that I was able to find. I like watching tennis but I’m nowhere near as well-versed in it as e.g. baseball, so I’ve held off on writing about what is easily, instantly in the pantheon of all-time great tennis matches, even though I really want to. So just read that instead.
  • Mandy Brown on large language models. People sometimes incorrectly conflate a labor issue with being a technological issue.

And that’s it for today. Take care of yourselves & each other, and have a good holiday weekend.
