Drawn line

On every t-shirt you own, the cuffs are drawn with two hands, the seams are drawn with two hands, the collar is attached with two hands, the hem is hemmed with two hands.
Now, multiply this by every single piece in your closet. Your pants, socks, underwear, everything. Everything. Your bed sheets. And the stuff you carry every day.
This feels terribly basic to mention, but the sheer volume of handmade labor that goes into all of the objects in our homes remains staggering to me. I’m writing this to you on a couch, under a blanket, with two pillows. All of that had seams that needed to be drawn with two hands.
