Every instance of repair I have done on clothes in the past two years, in no order
The suit
Moths happened. I was told. I turned up at a wedding, threw on the only super nice suit that I own, had a great time, and afterward my girlfriend at the time pointed out that the suit was full of holes. “Moths,” she said. “Is it wool?” I nodded. “Moths.” I denied this for, like, ten minutes. “The moths are tiny. Tinier than you think. You can’t see them.” Fine. Acceptance. I bought glue traps for the moths, and within a month they caught six moths. They keep catching moths. I keep replacing them. No more holes.
The answer to small holes in nice fabric is to go to the dry cleaner and have them mended. This is not cheap, but you will end up with a like-new suit when they are done. You learn the lesson. You replenish the moth traps.
