Intermission text (almost over)
Intermission is going well. It’s been a month. I’m grateful for your patience. It won’t be much longer.
I’m done many things with text, and you have seen none of them, so now it’s time to describe some of them.
Planning
I ran out of ideas for text and was burning fumes for a little while, so I spent a whole work day breaking out some key topics and figuring out new things to write about. Now I have over 200 of them, which should last me at least a year.
The goal is to go through this planning exercise at least twice a year. It’s worth spending a day for it, so I make sure I can sit down and show up to the practice a little better.
I’m grateful to those of you who have suggested ideas for me to write about. Yes, I’m aware that the World Series happened, and I’m aware of who won. There is much to discuss there, but I also don’t want to turn text into exclusively a baseball thing. But you should expect it. I can’t not write about it.
Compiling
I’ve gone through all of text (there is a lot of text) and compiled enough to make a short book. And I’ve gone through all of my images to dot through the book. Finally, I’m now in the process of writing some new text to augment the old. Then I edit & typeset everything. 2025 sometime? Eventually?
A personal note
I’m fully aware of what day I’m sending this on. In fact, I’m currently in Europe. Two hours before I flew here, my therapist called my escape “an act of profound self-care.” I have no idea what awaits us, but I know that I am alive, and you are alive, and we have each other. That must be enough for now.
You have all of my care & love during what must be a challenging time, no matter where you happen to live.
