We’ve written about a sandwich in the past. Now tacos. We went to Mexico City, the best food city in North America, and like one does in Mexico City we ate tacos. The best tacos we had were very shamefully at Expendio de Maíz, which is an open kitchen. There are some communal patio tables on the sidewalk. There is no bathroom. It is cash only. There is a long wait list. The ish: they ask your dietary restrictions, then feed you amazing homemade food until you tap out. I went when I visited Mexico City in 2022 and had one of the most memorable & important meals of my life. I went back last week.
