Buying means researching and researching takes time, so now that I’m doing neither I find myself with a surfeit of time. I am mostly spending that time reading. My book stack is a distended horror that will absolutely not be addressed by the time I fly out for the winter. My Instapaper queue is one for the plane, and I am kind of hoping the plane takes too long. People keep writing new books in the meantime, which is very rude.
