I’ve been gardening. I live near a high school that ran out of money, started a GFM that didn’t go well, got protested by its students, then collapsed, lost its charter, and sent its kids to high schools around the city that are actual.

That’s the bad news. The other bad news is that the land they exist on has been left to seed, and they are now conquered by weeds. A green roof, once planted with the best of intentions, now has a buckthorn so tall that you can see it waving from Central Park Avenue. The grass has bolted: good for grass, bad for everybody leaving trash there. You get the idea.
