Sometimes I forget that I do things that track, on face, to be completely unhinged. Like the bookmarks file.
Like you, I have a place where I keep bookmarks. Unlike you, it is a plain text file. One single file. That I have been updating by putting new links at the top since 1994. The most radical change to the bookmarks file in 30 years is its being moved from one folder to another, so it may be parsed by my notes app.
No, you may not look at it.
New links take the form of a brief description, a colon, and the link. For example, when I was researching personal item dimensions for underneath airplane seats, I found a helpful guide on Tortuga’s blog (natch) and threw it into the bookmarks file like so:
