Tolerate it
Adam is onto something here, and I replied, twice. Go read all of that. Even the other replies are pretty good! Who can even say that, goodness.
I’ve danced around this point in some earlier text, and now it’s time to stab things dead. I think there are going to be things that do not jibe completely with another being, and this becomes significantly more difficult to contend with as you expand the size of the group. I do not think these are things to be tolerated. We “tolerate” things we do not like. The whole point of conscious gathering is to explore, celebrate, honor, and (when necessary) manage the differences between people.
You are a person, and we live in a society. Other people are “tolerating” you in the same way that you must “tolerate” them. Acting in right relationship is work – work we must do if we are going to gather, work that is not optional for conscious gathering.
I get where this is coming from. Society isn’t doing great. Nobody trusts institutions anymore. Truth died, probably. We are right to visit most of the internet with the greatest of suspicion. But we’ve found ourselves hard at drawing the line, hard at allowing others in, hard at discernment.
